There are no cars, cell phones, or other modern things, so we went back in time by few hundred years as we walked through these streets, flanked by multicolored façades and retaining many of their traditions and customs.Īfter descending the Rua Escura, we decide against going back to the river. Every corner and nook asks you to look, enjoy and register. Not because it has to be, but because we want it to be. Let us walk the narrow winding streets that lead down to the river. We make our route along the river, where the typical and historical rabelos. We cross the Luis I bridge via its lower deck to the other shore. Let us continue our journey to take advantage of the best light of day that already casts itself over the city and extends like a waterfall from the river to the top of the famous Tower of Clérigos, the ex-libris of Porto.
